Can you make an offer on a house before pre approval or should I get mortgage pre-approved before searching for a home in Tampa Bay?

Why loan pre approval is so important to win in any market

An experienced real estate agent, always recommends that you get pre-approved for a loan before viewing homes and making any offers. This way, everyone know that you’re serious about buying a house and that you’re qualified for a loan. More importantly, in this market, a seller won’t look at your offer unless you show a pre approval letter. You might also need a proof of funds too to show you have the down payment and closing costs to close the transaction. In short, you can’t make an offer on a house before knowing the details of your pre approval.

If you’re not sure what to do, talk to a loan officer or real estate agent to see what they recommend.
